Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri
Begin your journey with a scenic 190 km drive from Dehradun to Sankri, taking around 8–9 hours. The route winds through pine forests, river valleys, and charming mountain villages. On arrival at Sankri, a beautiful Himalayan village, check into a guesthouse and rest before the trek begins.
Day 2: Trek from Sankri to Sikolta
After breakfast, start your trek with a gradual ascent through dense pine and oak forests. The 6–7 km trail to Sikolta is serene and rich with birdlife. Reach the forest clearing of Sikolta and set up camp amidst greenery and mountain silence.
Day 3: Trek from Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi
Today’s trek takes you deeper into alpine terrain. Walk through open meadows and rhododendron groves with occasional views of distant snow peaks. After 5–6 hours of trekking, reach Bhoj Gadi, your high-altitude campsite just below the ridge, offering spectacular sunset views.
Day 4: Trek from Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara via Phulara Ridge
This is the most scenic day of the trek. Walk along the Phulara Ridge — a narrow, grassy path with 360° views of the snow-covered Garhwal Himalayas, including Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Kedarkantha. After the exhilarating ridge walk, descend to the meadows of Pushtara for a peaceful overnight camp.
Day 5: Trek from Pushtara to Taluka and Drive to Sankri
Descend through pine forests and riverside trails from Pushtara to Taluka, a quaint hamlet that serves as a trek base. After completing the descent, drive back to Sankri. Relax in your guesthouse and enjoy the comforts of the village after days in the wilderness.
Day 6: Drive from Sankri to Dehradun
After breakfast, depart Sankri for the return drive to Dehradun. The 8–9 hour journey marks the end of your beautiful and peaceful Phulara Ridge adventure.
