Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Joshimath
Start your journey with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Joshimath, covering approximately 280 km. The route offers beautiful views of rivers, hills, and valleys. On arrival, check into your guesthouse and prepare for the trek ahead.
Day 2: Drive from Joshimath to Dhak and Trek to Guling
Drive from Joshimath to Dhak, the trek starting point. From Dhak, begin trekking through dense forests and small villages. After about 6–7 km, reach Guling, a peaceful campsite surrounded by tall deodar trees.
Day 3: Trek from Guling to Khullara
Continue your trek through rhododendron and oak forests, ascending gradually. The trail offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows. Arrive at Khullara, a picturesque campsite with panoramic Himalayan vistas.
Day 4: Trek from Khullara to Kuari Pass and back to Taali
Today’s highlight: trek to Kuari Pass at 4,050 meters, where you get breathtaking 360° views of peaks like Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, and Trishul. After soaking in the scenery, descend to Taali for an overnight camp.
Day 5: Trek from Taali to Auli via Gorson Bugyal; Drive to Joshimath
Trek down through the lush Gorson Bugyal meadows, known for wildflowers and stunning landscapes. Continue to Auli, a famous ski destination. After exploring Auli, drive back to Joshimath for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Drive from Joshimath to Dehradun
After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun, concluding your Kuari Pass trekking adventure. The journey takes approximately 8–9 hours, with beautiful mountain and river views along the way.
Inclusions / Exclusions
Inclusion:
- Transport from Dehradun to Joshimath and back (shared vehicle)
- Local transport between Joshimath, Dhak, and Auli (both ways)
- Guesthouse/homestay in Joshimath (Day 1 & Day 5)
- Tented accommodation during the trek (Days 2–4)
- All meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 6 breakfast (vegetarian)
- Trek leader, local guide, and support staff
- Porter/mule support for common equipment
- Camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, mats)
- Forest permits and all entry fees
Exclusion:
- Anything not mentioned under Inclusions.
- All personal expenses, optional tours and extra.
- Any other activity fees apart from inclusions.
- Medical & Travel insurance.
- GST and TCS as per government applicable
