Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Raithal
The trek begins with a scenic drive from Dehradun to the village of Raithal. The journey passes through picturesque landscapes, river valleys, and mountain roads. Upon arrival, trekkers can explore the village and acclimatize to the altitude while enjoying views of surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Day 2: Raithal to Gui
The trek starts with a gentle 4 km ascent from Raithal to Gui. The trail passes through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests. Gui is a peaceful forest clearing with views of snow-covered mountains, making it an ideal place to camp and soak in the natural beauty.
Day 3: Gui to Chilapada
The trail from Gui to Chilapada is short and scenic, with a gradual climb through alpine forests. As the tree line begins to thin, the views open up to wider vistas. Chilapada serves as a base camp for the upcoming summit day and offers a serene environment.
Day 4: Chilapada to Nayata via Dayara Top
This is the most exciting day of the trek. The trail ascends to Dayara Top, a vast high-altitude meadow offering panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Bandarpoonch and Draupadi ka Danda. After spending time at the summit, the trail descends to Nayata for the night’s stay.
Day 5: Nayata to Raithal
The trek descends back to Raithal through forests and open meadows. The trail is easy and enjoyable, allowing trekkers to take in the last views of the serene landscape before concluding the hiking portion of the journey.
