Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong

Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and begin your scenic drive to Shillong (approx. 3–4 hours). En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake for a quick photo break. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar or enjoying a relaxed walk in the cool climate. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the best of Shillong – often called the "Scotland of the East." Visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views, Elephant Falls, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, and Don Bosco Museum for cultural insights. Later, stroll around the charming lanes of Laitumkhrah or enjoy café-hopping. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunjee – Waterfalls & Caves

Post breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (approx. 2 hours), known for its rainfall and dramatic landscapes. On the way, stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint. In Cherrapunjee, visit stunning waterfalls like Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, and Dainthlen Falls. Explore the fascinating Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 4: Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki

Today, take a full-day excursion to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Explore the neat bamboo pathways, balancing rock, and a skywalk view of Bangladesh. Then head to Dawki, known for the crystal-clear Umngot River—enjoy a serene boat ride surrounded by lush greenery. Return to Cherrapunjee by evening. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 5: Cherrapunjee to Guwahati – Evening Cruise (Optional)

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati (approx. 6–7 hours). Check in to your hotel and rest. In the evening, you can opt for a relaxing Brahmaputra River cruise (optional, subject to availability), or explore the local markets for Assam tea and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 6: Guwahati Sightseeing – Departure

After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the Shakti Peethas, located on Nilachal Hill. Time permitting, you can also visit Umananda Temple (on the river island), Navagraha Temple, or Assam State Museum. Later, proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with beautiful memories of magical Meghalaya.
