Big Buddha & Lantau Island Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Hong Kong – Transfer to Lantau Island

Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport, located on Lantau Island, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel or resort on the island — options include Silvermine Bay, Tung Chung, or Ngong Ping Village. After check-in, enjoy a relaxing walk along the beach or explore the local markets. In the evening, dine at a seaside restaurant and enjoy the quiet, peaceful charm of Lantau away from the city buzz.

Day 2: The Big Buddha, Po Lin Monastery & Ngong Ping Village

After breakfast, begin your spiritual and cultural exploration. Take the scenic Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping, enjoying panoramic views of the mountains, South China Sea, and airport.

Upon arrival, visit the iconic Tian Tan Big Buddha, one of the world’s largest seated bronze Buddhas. Climb the 268 steps to reach the statue and take in the tranquil mountain views. Explore the nearby Po Lin Monastery, known for its colorful halls and incense-filled courtyards. Enjoy a vegetarian lunch at the monastery.

Day 3: Tai O Fishing Village & Lantau Nature Escape

Today, travel to the quaint and historic Tai O Fishing Village, known for its stilt houses, seafood markets, and rich heritage. Take a boat ride to spot the rare pink dolphins (seasonal) and explore the village's alleys, shops, and local life.

Continue to Lantau Country Park for a light hike or visit Wisdom Path, a serene trail lined with wooden columns inscribed with ancient scriptures. For nature lovers, an optional visit to Mui Wo Waterfalls offers a refreshing, off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Day 4: Leisure & Departure

Enjoy your final morning at leisure. Relax with a walk along the beach, explore the Tung Chung outlets for shopping, or enjoy a coffee with a view.
